Jeff Krans

Jeff Krans is a former Professor of Agronomy at Mississippi State University in the Golf and Sports Turf Management Program. Jeff earned a PhD from Michigan State University in 1975, a MS degree from the University of Arizona in 1973, and a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1970. Jeff's interests are in turfgrass physiology, genetics, and plant breeding. He has numerous publications and holds multiple turfgrass plant patents including those for the cultivars MS-Pride, MS-Choice (Bullseye), MS-Express and MS-Supreme. Jeff enjoys all aspect of turfgrass management involving practitioners and their challenge to grow high quality turf for a safe playing surface.
