Martha Philbeck

I grew up on a farm in southern Ohio. When I was little the farm was farmed with horses. Then Tractors came into use. We had various animals on the farm. I wanted to preserve those memories of what it was like for future generations. My mother was also a prize winning cook and I like to experiment in the kitchen so that brought about the cookbooks. I raise golden retrievers. Each book is a learning experience for the readers to enjoy. The small books are geared so that children can understand about that animal or experience. The Charlie Coyote books are a series of short stories about different topics and feelings about the farm life and going to the woods. Some of those stories are also written by children.
