In the children's picture book, The Ruby Red Slippers, Mia receives a new pair of shoes from her grandmother, which she believes possess magical powers. When she grows out of her ruby red slippers, she realizes the magic of her shoes comes not from possessing them, but from wearing them. Mia ultimately gives her beloved shoes to a friend, and when she does, something truly magical happens!
“The Ruby Red Slippers is the delightfully believable and enchanting story of a girl who learns the joy of giving, and in the end, of receiving. Lovely illustrations transport readers as they envision Mia and her magical red slippers. Little girls and their moms will surely find this a wonderful addition to their libraries.” – Barbara Floyd, Founder and Publisher of The Country Register, a chain of newspapers across Canada and the US
