Owen Byer

Owen is a professor of mathematics at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He has written several articles on graph theory for mathematics research journals, but the book "Methods for Euclidean Geometry," published by MAA in 2010, was his first textbook. A second edition is set to be published by Dover Press in late 2020. In 2018, MAA/AMS published "Journey into Discrete Mathematics," a book written by Owen, Deirdre L. Smeltzer, and Kenny Wantz.

Owen enjoys sports of all kinds and playing duplicate bridge. He is married with two children in college.
