Thomas Pfleger

Thomas Pfleger was born 1964 in Oberstdorf, Germany and got in touch with computers during the school years. Interested in astronomy, he started to work on astronomy software in the 80ies. In 1989, "Astronomy on the Personal Computer" was issued, together with Oliver Montenbruck. Then Thomas' interest shifted from ephemeris calculation to deep sky observing. Consequently, he developed the "Eye&Telecope" software that was first published in 2002 by Oculum in Germany. By 2011, Eye&Telescope has become available outside Europe.
