Josef Maiwald

Josef Maiwald is a qualified psychologist and coach for entrepreneurs and managers.

He has worked for more than 25 years as a consultant, trainer, coach and specialist author in the fields of personnel selection, personnel development and occupational health management. His clients include large international companies as well as medium-sized businesses and start-ups.

One focus is on personal and entrepreneurial success strategies. Important to him is the balance between the areas of life (business, private, social) and the time horizon (short, medium and long term). Those who approach their lives "smartly" in this sense are also goal-oriented, effective, trust their intuition, create win-win relationships, pay attention to sustainability and assume (social) responsibility.

He says: "Many people today work and live as if life were a short-distance race. As a result, quite a few soon experience shortness of breath or serious complaints. But life is first and foremost a long-distance team discipline. It is true that we have to do the odd sprint now and then. But it is much more important to find one's 'calling', to develop the right strategies and to make the best of the circumstances in a consistent, coordinated and cooperative manner. International and global connections are becoming increasingly important.

Background: Parallel to studying psychology with a focus on work and organisational psychology as well as research methods, Josef Maiwald completed his basic studies in business administration. Through projects in the field of computer-aided diagnostics and pedagogy, he also acquired solid knowledge in the field of EDP and programming.

Since 1987, Josef Maiwald has been active in personnel selection and development. In 1997 he founded the A-BiS Gesellschaft für Unternehmensentwicklung mbH, of which he is the managing director. He also created the smarterlife.de platform, which is the basis for the SmarterLife expert network. Since 2011 he has been a board member of the Institute for Systemic Consensus, IsyKonsens Germany.
