David Buckley

I was born in Liverpool in 1965 and in 1994 was awarded a Ph.D. for my dissertation on David Bowie at the University of Liverpool. But don't let that put you off me completely. I have written 7 music books including two on my hero, David Bowie, the official biography of The Stranglers, and a book on Kraftwerk (see, I am holding a very large version of the cover here). My next book will be a biography of The Human League and Heaven 17 which will be published by Omnibus Press. I have written for Mojo magazine since 2002. I have also worked as a tutor for the Open University and as a lecturer at Munich University. In 2019, I returned to the UK after spending half my life living in Germany. I am a Whovian, Socialist and dad.
