Before I became a writer I was a psychiatric social worker and for over six years my husband Jeff, a clinical psychologist, worked together with male and female inmates at the high and medium security prisons in Ma. This work later provided fodder for a mystery series I did. Check out my REVIEWS page for more info.

I also co-authored a self-help book with Jeff called LOVING SMART: Putting Your Cards On The Table. It's about what couples need to understand and follow in order to have a successful loving relationship. Although the book is out of print, my husband still has many of his patients read printouts of the book.

I have been writing and publishing for the last 45 years. I started writing romance novels at age 40 and published my first romance BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE for Dell Publishing Company’s Candlelight Romance series in 1984. At the time my son David was in elementary school and my daughter Rebecca was in nursery school. I'd always yearned to write and realized time was passing and if I didn't commit to actually doing it, I likely never would. I started by writing a romance because I'd heard an interview on the radio with a romance writer and I realized that I adored romantic stories and films and this would be a great place to start. I went on to publish over 60 romances-all types, some for Dell, most for Harlequin. Then I realized I needed a complete change and so I wrote a dark thriller "ROMEO" for Bantam Publishing in 1996. Then came a mystery series for St. Martin that began in 2002 with KILLING TIME. Next came INSIDE OUT, and last, CONVICTION,

About a year ago I made a new shift, leaving the world of mysteries. I have completed my first "boomer" novel BETTER LATE which is about 6 women friends in their sixties who live in the Berkshires of Western MA. (my home territory). BETTER LATE focuses on these six womens’ issues, fears, joys, friendships, love and loss. I am truly excited to get back to my "romance" roots and this time I’m not only writing about what women my age really talk about and what binds them together, but I’m also dealing with the romantic adventures of each of these women. There are a number of novels about "older" women but not too much about their current romantic and sexual lives. I'm hoping to fill that void. BETTER LATE is being represented by Maureen Walters, Senior Vice President at Curtis, Brown Ltd. And she has just sent the manuscript out to a number of publishers. Keep checking back for updates.

I am also putting new never before published mysteries in the English language on KINDLE so fans of my mysteries have the opportunity to read them for the first time. I will also be putting many of my earlier romance novels on Kindle as well. Please check my Kindle listings often.

I have also been HAPPILY married for 46 years, have 2 terrific grown children and two delightful grandchildren . I feel truly blessed to have a fantastic family and to be able to do what I love, writing.
