RALPH LARMANN

Performance Photographer Ralph Larmann, born in 1963, began working as a journalist and photographer for music magazines in the mid-80s. After studying drums at the Rotterdam Conservatory, he turned increasingly to performance photography in the early 90s. Since then, Larmann has been creating energetic photographs that uniquely reflect the magic of stagings of various genres. He has created photo series of concert tours, operas, TV shows, staged architecture and unique special events worldwide. His photographs open up perspectives that usually remain closed to people.

With ED SHEERAN "DIVIDE" and U2 "360°", Larmann photographed the two most successful concert tours of all time and provided the advertising motifs for both.

In addition to his own illustrated books STAGE DESIGN and STAGE DESIGN EMOTIONS, Larmann published, among others, the coffee-table-books ROCK OR BUST with the Australian band AC/DC and FROM THE GROUND UP with the Irish band U2.
