Conny Wenk

Conny Wenk is a photographer and the author of the books Aussergewoehnlich, a book about 15 mothers and their children with Down Syndrome, and Aussergewoehnlich: Vaeterglueck, a book about 22 fathers and their children with Down Syndrome. Both of these books include photography which lovingly captures the relationship between the parents and children and is accompanied by heart felt narration written from the parents. Both the pictures and personal essays give the audience an intimate glimpse into their lives and as well the joy and love of these families. Schmetterlingszauber is a book which illustrates through photography a celebration of the wonderful friendship of three little girls and happily confirms that little girls are little girls regardless of an extra chromosome.
