Sephi Bergerson is an award-winning commercial documentary and lifestyle photographer with 30 years of experience. He grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel, and at the age of 21, after completing three years in a paratroops regiment of the Israeli army, moved to New York City to pursue his interest in photography.
Before relocating to India with his family in early 2002, he was a commercial photographer in Israel where he established a successful commercial photography studio and served as president of the Professional Photographers Association from 2001 - 2002.
Having authored seven books so far, his first one, Street Food of India, co-published in the U.K and in Germany, received international acclaim, including the Best Cookbook Photography 2010 award in the U.K, a nomination for Best in the World at the prestigious Gourmand Awards in Paris, and was mentioned in the New York Times list of 'best cook books of the year (2010).
Sephi's journey into wedding photography began when he started working on his book: 'Behind The Indian Veil' (published in 2015) in October 2007. Working on this book, he has arguably witnessed and documented a larger variety of Indian weddings than any other person on Earth.
