Frank T. Hoffman (1957- ) was born in South Korea to missionary parents. Growing up in a war torn country run as a military dictatorship had a big impact on his life and view of the world. Frank and his friends had many an adventure while growing up in Korean including jaunts around the Korean countryside, camping trips to the demilitarized zone, and sailing on the Yellow Sea.
Returning to the U.S. in 1975, Frank took up climbing along with camping & biking. Always the adventurer, he's climbed mountains from East to West. During the earlier part of his life, he acquired degrees in History & Engineering and worked all over the U.S. for various Fortune 100 companies.
Today, Frank is a homesteader with his wife, Kristin Svensson, and children in the hills of East Tennessee where he shares his love of adventure with his children every day. Frank owns & operates Hoffman Research Group, a conglomeration of publishing, swing & furniture manufacturing, and farming.
