Sharon E. Rainey

Sharon Rainey is a Writer, Activist, Entrepreneur, Wife, Mother, and Lyme Warrior.

In 2009, after decades of suffering from numerous mysterious or rare maladies, Sharon was diagnosed with late stage Bartonella, and Babesia. This accurate diagnosis by a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor set her on the path to healing, emotionally, spiritually and physically, after so many years of seeing doctor after doctor with no relief or explanation.

Sharon wrote The Best Part of My Day Healing Journal in answer to people's questions of what else helped her heal during the treatment process.

Sharon is also co-author of Lyme Savvy: Treatment Insights for Lyme Patients and Practitioners with Dr. B. Robert Mozayeni. This publication is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between patient and doctor, covering diagnosis, treatment, and aspects of healing.

Sharon is also the author of Making a Pearl from the Grit of Life, and was a national columnist at Women’s Voices Magazine from 2013-2015.

As a successful entrepreneur, Sharon created an online network for her local community in 2000, expanding into 33 other communities and today it is known as myNeighborsNetwork.com.

Sharon also founded and led a nonprofit organization, Neighbors Foundation, for ten years.

Before running her own company, Sharon taught 8th grade English. She currently resides in the Northern Virginia area with her husband and four Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs.
