Mark F. Hussey

Mark Hussey taught literature at Pace University in New York City for four decades before retiring in 2021 as Distinguished Professor Emeritus. Following his first encounter with Virginia Woolf's fiction at school in England when he was 17, he has written many books and articles about her and the Bloomsbury Group, and continues to do so. Mark is a member of the editorial board of the Cambridge UP edition of Virginia Woolf, was General Editor of the Harcourt annotated edition of Woolf, founded the journal Woolf Studies Annual and the annual international conference on Virginia Woolf. His latest book launched Manchester University Press's 'Biography of a Novel' series by telling the story of Woolf's 'Mrs Dalloway', which celebrated its centenary in 2025.
