Paul Backholer

Paul Backholer is the co-founder and global director of ByFaith Media. As an author, broadcaster, explorer and analyst, his work has featured on international networks and been covered by major outlets including The Times, The Express and CNN. He is an international documentary-maker on platforms such as Amazon Prime and the co-producer and host of ByFaith TV.

Dedicated to scriptural exegesis, his research focuses on pneumatology, biblical archaeology, eschatology and religious historiography. A key element of his work is the archaeology of the ancient Bible lands, which inspired his series Walk the Bible, reaching millions on social media.

Fascinated by the synthesis of faith and reason, he frequently examines the Oxford Inklings (including C. S. Lewis & J. R. R. Tolkien), highlighting their model that harmonises reason, myth and imagination in the defence of faith.

His extensive travels include a trans-African expedition from Cairo to the Cape, a journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Mongolia to Moscow, canoeing among isolated Pacific communities, and journeys across China, Southeast Asia, South America, India and the Middle East.
