Michael L. Tieman

I am an artist; a painter, a sculptor and a published author. The role of an artist from the dawn of time has been as a storyteller.

The stories my paintings and sculptures tell are ones of confidence, strength, passion, playful sophistication and the celebration of life.

The stories my books tell are varied. My genealogy books tell the stories of my family and our ancestors and their journey to survive. A few books have explored further the history of the Revolutionary War and the Medieval Period including the Crusades. My art series’ include the creation and making of my bronze sculpture “Courage” dedicated to those battling Cancer and the “Behind the Paint” series are my travel and sketchbook journals taking you through the world from the eyes of an artist and a traveler who frequently gets lost but always has fun.

I hope you find my work an interesting journey and worth your time. It does show you the world through a different set of eyes.
