I am the author of a new YA book, Murder at Foxbluff Lake: A Coug Hawkins Mystery. When I am not writing, I am a full-time middle school teacher/coach in Spokane, WA. Murder at Foxbluff Lake is the first, in what I envision as a three-part mystery series centering around 15-year-old, Coug Hawkins. The setting is beautiful North Central Washington, near the Canadian border. I grew up in this area and plan on moving back there in the future. Being a graduate of Washington State University, I created this character, Coug, from my love of Wazzu and also the tiny fishing community of Conconully . . . aka Foxbluff Lake.
