Lake Douglas

Lake Douglas, a native of Mississippi, holds degrees in landscape architecture from LSU and Harvard's Graduate School of Design and a PhD in urban studies from the University of New Orleans. He has written extensively on design issues for academic journals, professional magazines, and the popular press in America and Europe. Among his books are PUBLIC ART FOR LOUISIANA COMMUNITIES; GARDENS OF NEW ORLEANS EXQUISITE EXCESS; and HILLSIDE GARDENING, and he has contributed chapters and essays to numerous books on the history of landscape architecture. He is currently associate professor at LSU's Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture and lives in New Orleans.
