Lisa Downey is a former art teacher and packaging designer who now writes and illustrates children's books.
For every seven copies sold, Lisa gives a copy of "Mo'o Wants Ice Cream!" to a grade-schooler in Lahaina. Eventually she would like to be able to contribute books of all titles.
"Mo'o Wants Ice Cream!" is Lisa's first self-published children's book.
"The Pirates of Plagiarism" is the first book Lisa co-authored and illustrated. It is now out of print, but may soon make a comeback here on Amazon. She has also illustrated several books for Arbordale Publishing (formerly Sylvan Dell), including: "Happy Birthday to Whooo?", "Julie the Rockhound", "Turtle Summer, A Journal for My Daughter" and "Blackberry Banquet."
Three percent of profits donated to One Tree Planted, a 501(c)3 organization that plants millions of trees all around the world.
Lisa lives in north Lahaina, Hawaii with her husband and their sweet kitty.
