Lindsay Powell

LINDSAY POWELL is a historian and writer. He is news editor of 'Ancient History' and 'Ancient Warfare' magazines. He is the author of 15 books about commanders, campaigns and conflicts of the Ancient World, including the best-selling 'Germanicus' and 'Marcus Agrippa'. His latest book is 'Tiberius: From Masterly Commander to Masterful Emperor of Rome' (Pen and Sword Books, 2025).

Lindsay’s public appearances include BBC Radio, Dan Snow’s History Hit and History Channel. A graduate from Aston University, he is a veteran of The Ermine Street Guard re-enactment society. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, he divides his time between Austin, Texas and Wokingham, England.
