Fredric Maffei

Born and raised in Orange, New Jersey. A professional musician at fifteen, Fredric has sat at table with Billie Holiday, met Miles and Diz, and drummed (badly) with Philly Joe on a car's dash. Four years in the navy, played Taps at Arlington Cemetery, proofread at the L.A. Times, worked as a roustabout in Texas oilfields. But he's at his best when writing books.
