Michael J.R. Hoch

Michael Hoch received his doctorate from the University of St Andrews , Scotland, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar. He served for more than thirty years in the Physics Department at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is now professor emeritis and honorary research professorial fellow at that institution. Since 2002 he has been a visiting scientist at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, USA. In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Physics at FSU.
