Sunita Anne Abraham

I've spent most of my life on three islands. Born in Penang, I did my PhD in England, and worked in Singapore.

My parents were teachers. So, it's probably not all that surprising that I became an educator, too, teaching linguistics, persuasion and business communication at university level.

I've always been fascinated by words, the combination of sounds and meanings that form the building blocks of language. My co-author Madalena Cruz-Ferreira and I have written two books for absolute beginners who'd like to explore (why) language matters. I've also written a book (DESIGNING ARGUMENTS) for those interested in effective persuasion.
