Hi, I’m a former television news anchor who left broadcasting for the love of garage sales—seriously! I worked for 15 years and in six markets around the country including Duluth, MN and Wichita, KS. I wasn’t sure there was life after TV news but I’m happy to say there is and I’ve found it by creating a business involving my passion for garage sales!

I'm founder and CEO of the wildly popular Web site www.GarageSaleGal.com where users across the nation list and look for garage sales on line. I write a column on garage sales for the Arizona Republic which runs every Friday (and has for the last 5 years). I still "work" in TV, though now I'm a guest on the news casts sharing tips on how to make the most money at your garage sale--and so many more tips---such as, every sale needs a "sign checker" (you'll have to read my book to find out what that is!) and many more. I've even taught courses on buying and selling at garage sales. I knew I'd "made" it when I arrived to one of my classes and saw the pastor of my church sitting there. He had no idea that I was the Garage Sale Gal! He made me nervous!! But he's pretty neat--he rides his bike from garage sale to garage sale hunting for bargains.

And now I'm a book author: The Garage Sale Gal's Guide to Making Money off Your Stuff will be available in March 2011! Yippee!
