Hi Readers,
I am an instructor and the Director of the Massage Therapy Program at Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming. My career has spanned over 30 years as a professional massage therapist, which includes working on professional dancers and athletes. Years of study and observation of my clientele and immersing myself in kinesiology led me to formulate a set of ergonomic principles for bodyworkers which I began teaching to students and practicing therapists. I am certified as a massage therapist, ergonomic assessment specialist,(CEAS II), and fitness specialist. I have been a student of Tai Chi and Qigong for many years and currently teach both disciplines.
I have a BA in Health, Arts & Science from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT and am currently working on an MA in Health Promotion at the University of Alabama. I have taught therapeutic massage and supplemental modalities for over 25 years and have received national recognition for teaching excellence.
My passion for health and well-being emerged in my youth as I tended to wounded critters in the neighborhood, i.e., bunnies and birds, and an ailing aunt.
I hope you enjoy our book and may joy, love and good health be with you on your journey through life.
