Frederik Ramm

Frederik Ramm has been working in the IT industry for over 10 years. He is with OpenStreetMap since 2006, an active member of the German and international OpenStreetMap community as mapper, developer, speaker, author, and conference organizer. Frederik is interested in neogeography from a pro­fessional angle as well, having founded the Karlsruhe, Germany based Geofabrik GmbH which offers products and services around OpenStreetMap and other free and open geodata.

Frederik wrote his first book when he was 19 and still at school (about a long-forgotten Microsoft Basic Compiler!) and he also authored one of the first German-language books about the Web, in 1995.
