S. B. Newman

Steven B. Newman is a novelist, screenwriter, filmmaker, and retired U.S. Army Special Forces veteran. During a 21-year military career, he served around the world and retired following service during the opening stages of the war in Afghanistan.

His first novel, *The Night Eagles Soared*, drew praise from readers for its authentic portrayal of soldiers, sacrifice, brotherhood, and the human cost of war. Though written as fiction, the novel reflects the emotional truths and experiences that shaped a generation of Special Forces soldiers.

Following his military career, Newman earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Certificate of Mastery in Digital Cinema Production, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production. His screenplays have received recognition from numerous festivals and competitions, including the GI Film Festival, the Military Script Showcase, Final Draft's Big Break, and the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

He is the founder of Origin Works, an independent creative studio dedicated to developing stories across books, film, voice, and emerging technologies. His work explores courage, redemption, identity, faith, history, and the enduring power of human connection.

Steven lives in Florida with his wife, where they continue to build the Origin Works library and develop new projects for publication and production.
