Jennifer Barnes Maggio

Jennifer Maggio is an award-winning author of multiple books and an international speaker. She is founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Life of a Single Mom, a national nonprofit that has served over 1 million single mothers through starting single mothers' support groups in churches, offering education via Single Mom University, hosting national events, and a variety of support services and programs. Maggio's personal journey through homelessness, abuse, single parenting, and corporate success makes her a frequent guest on radio, television, and women's conferences.

At 19, Maggio was pregnant, living in government housing on food stamps and welfare, and felt completely alone. She shares with great openness her pain, mistakes, and journey to find hope in Christ. She ultimately became an 11-time Circle of Excellence winner in Corporate America for a prominent Fortune 500 Company, author to multiple books, CEO to a national nonprofit, and host to a successful podcast. While a vocal advocate for abstinence and sustaining today’s marriages, Maggio recognizes that single parenthood exists and is passionate about seeing these parents thrive. She left her corporate successes behind to launch a global initiative to see that single moms do not walk alone. Her passion is contagious and her story has been used to inspire millions around the globe.

She has been featured in countless media venues in print, television, and radio, including The New York Times, The 700 Club, Moody Radio, Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson, Christian Mingle, Power Women, and many others.

In addition to being a busy wife and mother of three, she is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of The Life of a Single Mom Ministries and writes for a number of magazines and websites. Maggio was named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Leaders in America by John Maxwell in 2015 and 2017.
