Brad Blake (1956-Present) was born in San Francisco, CA, grew up in the Bay Area and has traveled extensively throughout his career. He currently resides in San Jose, CA, and for thirty years has worked for technology companies located in Canada, France, India, and the U.S. During the past ten years he has written several screenplays, which have been recognized as finalists in the prestigous Venice Arts, Creative World Awards, and Charleston International Film Festival screenwriting competitions.
Finally realizing a conservative Hollywood rarely makes original screenplays into movies, he turned to his first love: Books.
In starting a first novel, his main goal was to write a story that he himself would have loved at age 12 and would love today. The focus was creating a fun and entertaining adventure tale that takes place just a year or two from now. The kind of exciting science fiction story that anyone could easily read and enjoy.
And now, with the success of Citlalli and the Destroyer, he has continued to tell the intergalactic adventure tale of these brave kids in The Cocoa War (also available on Amazon) and soon in Chasing Time (coming in 2011).
