Luke Hayes is an acclaimed children's book author from upstate New York. He has written stories, novels and nonfiction for young readers and has adapted many classic tales.
His friends call him a born storyteller. He loves to spin yarns, make up plots and turn dreams into reality.
In his younger days, Luke did a lot of traveling himself. He journeyed through Africa and India and lived for several years in Ireland, the home of Jonathan Swift. In the process, he recorded stories from all over the world, both tall tales and short ones.
In addition to working as a full-time writer, Luke likes to juggle, walk on his hands, ride a unicycle, and perform magic tricks. He believes in helping others and has worked for several years as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. Luke takes great pleasure in making some of the world's best-loved stories available for kids.
