Jane Morris is the editor of 'amaBooks Publishers.

amaBooks is an independent publisher based in Zimbabwe's second city of Bulawayo. We specialise in contemporary Zimbabwean fiction - novels, short stories and poetry, with a few titles on local history and culture.

We are perhaps best known for the books in the Short Writings series - Short Writings from Bulawayo I, II and III, Long Time Coming: Short Writings from Zimbabwe, Siqondephi Manje, Where to Now? Short Stories from Zimbabwe and Moving On and Other Zimbabwean Stories. The collections give snapshots of life in Zimbabwe over the recent turbulent years.

We've published novels by the award-winning writers John Eppel, Bryony Rheam and Tendai Huchu, and collections of short writings by John Eppel and Christopher Mlalazi.
