TJ Burr

TJ Burr (1964-) was born in Brighton, Colorado with the majestic Rocky Mountains in the background. He has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He started climbing and hiking shortly after he could walk. TJ has extensive backcountry experience in mountain environments from years of high country adventure. Currently, he is employed as a stream restoration engineer, which allows him to design projects to help the environment. He enjoys writing nature-related articles encouraging outdoor recreation and wilderness preservation.

TJ is reviewing, editing, and adding to "Rocky Mountain Adventure Collection" for the third edition, which will be published in Kindle Format and as a paperback on demand. Book writing and publishing has changed a lot in a relatively short period of time. In 1992, when RMAC was first published, eBooks didn't exist.

UPDATES

As of 2022, TJ is still actively hiking and climbing in the Rocky Mountains. He has hiked over 12,900 miles and climbed over 1,121,000 vertical feet. He has never been more passionate about hiking in the mountains. He lives in Colorado and frequently visits great outdoor spaces in Wyoming. He now has podcasts on Spotify and an active presence on many other social media platforms.
