Mark Malmin

Mark Malmin comes from a strong Christian background of service and lay ministry. Mark was raised from childhood on a sound foundation of biblical teaching. The author's upbringing made him both a preacher's kid (PK) and a missionary kid (MK). His family served in Brazil for many years as missionaries. Some of the author's life experiences from the jungles of Brazil and from the urban city became contributing factors which helped to inspire parts of this book.

Mark served honorably in the United States Army in 'The Big Red One' during the 70's as an enlisted man at the rank of E-5 and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. After military service Mark attended San Jose State University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Mark worked in the San Franciso-San Jose 'Bay Area' for 28 years as a police officer, detective, hostage negotiator, narcotics investigator, and later as a bailiff in the courtroom. Mark retired in 2006 and lives with his family in San Jose, California.
