Scott A. Morris

Dr. Scott A. Morris received his PhD in Agricultural Engineering from Michigan State University and has worked in industry both directly and as a consultant on a wide range of projects.

Based at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 1992, Dr. Morris founded the University of Illinois Packaging Laboratory, developed a nationally-recognized packaging research and teaching program, and was the first faculty member in the department to offer computer-based online content. He has published broadly in fields ranging from bioethics to engineering and continues to conduct research on the development and implementation of new technologies.

Dr. Morris teaches courses in packaging and food engineering both on the Urbana-Champaign campus and globally through the extramural Masters of Science online program.
