Jill Colonna

Jill Colonna is the Scottish cookbook author behind Mad About Macarons®, known for helping home bakers master French macarons in a real home kitchen. Her bestselling debut, *Mad About Macarons* (2010), was the first UK-published cookbook devoted entirely to French macarons, followed by *Teatime in Paris* (2015).

The publishing rights to Mad About Macarons formally reverted to Jill in 2025 following termination of the original agreement. Under that agreement, the former publisher’s edition was to be withdrawn from sale. Jill receives no royalties from sales through the remaining Amazon listing.

Having lived and cooked in France for more than 30 years, Jill shares clear French recipes from her home near Saint-Germain-en-Laye, just west of Paris. Her approach centres on real ingredients, less unnecessary sugar and more flavour.

Her latest book, *Master Crème Caramel: Secrets to 5 Classic French Desserts from Paris*, features five classic desserts, more than 30 variations and over 130 step-by-step photographs. She also creates illustrated ebooks and teaches online French-dessert courses.
