Jonathan Macy

Jonathan Macy is a minister in the Church of England. His first degree was in Theological & Pastoral Studies, followed by MThs in both Early Church History and Applied Theology, and an MA in Ministerial Theology. He did his PhD at Kings College London, on Angels In The Anglican Tradition (1547-1662). Prior to ordination he worked for 15 years in care homes for the disabled, and the elderly. This background has given him a desire to make theology practical, person-centred and life-changing, based on a belief in a God who is personal and close, and intimately concerned with His world.

Since 2010 he has been ministering in South East London in low income areas with all the problems that one would expect.

His first book was on pastoral angelology. His second, fourteen years later, about ministry in low income areas of poverty, rural, urban and coastal. Both aim to be practical and inspiring for those who read them.
