Flood Hefley
Flood Hefley is an expert on the Grand Canyon and has been hiking and exploring the chasm for over 40 years and counting. Flood is the author of Grand Canyon Trivia Trek: An Intrepid Rim-to-Rim Historical Journey, a Grand Canyon National Park bestseller which is also used by many in the National Park Service as a 'Grand Canyon search engine.' Flood's books are offered for retail sale in Grand Canyon National Park, by outlying area retailers, at your favorite bookstore, and on-line. The Grand Canyon National Park's official National Park Service partner, the Grand Canyon Association, announced on April 7, 2014, that it is using Grand Canyon Trivia Trek: An Intrepid Rim-to-Rim Historical Journey as a text/handbook to equip its public contact employees stationed at the park's visitor centers. Grand Canyon Trivia Trek is also used by numerous guides including those of the world famous Pink Jeep Tours based in Sedona, Arizona, who are stationed at the Grand Canyon National Geographic Visitor Center where the book is also for offer. As well, Flood is the author of Grand Canyon Nankoweap: Hiking the Notorious Horsethief Trail. Explaining not only the trail itself, the route guide too explains the compelling history surrounding the trail, "why" a trail in this mysterious remote region of Grand Canyon National Park, and the minimum gear necessary to complete this and any trail or route in Grand Canyon National Park. A portion of the author's personal proceeds are donated to Grand Canyon National Park's wildlife programs.
