Steve Little

Steve Little was born in Chelmsford in 1949 and took up writing as he neared retirement after a successful career in financial services. More Than Just A Life was self-published in 2010 and a later Kindle version followed in 2016. It was extremely well received as a hard hitting fictional story based around actual historical events and handling the sensitive subject of shell shock and its aftermath - what we now call post traumatic stress - plus the harsh treatment meted out to soldiers who deserted the trenches unable to cope with the horrors they witnessed there.

The book's sequel, Joining Forces, was published in paperback, and the next in the trilogy, Imperfect Hell, is currently in draft form.

Steve's non-fiction exploits include Days We'll Remember All Our Lives - a light-hearted look at the 60s - and Living The Claret Dream a book to tell of non-league Chelmsford City's vain 1960s attempt to be accepted into the Football League and to mark their 75th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

Steve has recently been commissioned to write the story of the Cockney Reds (Manchester United's notorious southern army) from the viewpoint of one of its leaders and deals with football hooliganism throughout those awfully violent years but seeing what those perpetrators have now become in their later life.
