Jackie Sonnenberg

Jackie Sonnenberg has a background in journalism, having written for multiple Chicago area newspapers such as The Daily Herald, The Chicago Tribune and The News-Sun.

She first published non-fiction reference books before moving onto fiction and developing a style in fantasy horror.

With also a background as a haunted house actor, Sonnenberg uses her skills in character development to come up with dynamic characters and backstories for both books and attraction settings. She is known for making original costumes for her original characters...and introducing readers to her books in the best way possible: By introducing them to the characters. Sonnenberg is known around the convention scenes to promote her books and interact with people in character. She has won and placed in costume contests and continues to engage with new audiences.

She placed 2nd as "Best Local Author" for Orlando weekly's annual feature "Best of Orlando."

She loves living in Orlando, FL where being surrounded by imagination inspires her every day.
