Masami Isoda, PhD/Prof: Senior Professor, Bureau of Global Initiatives, University of Tsukuba, Japan; Adjunct Professor, Khon Kaen University, Thailand; International Research Associate, CMM, University of Chile, Chile; Invited Researcher, Waseda University, Japan. He has been a co-project overseer (representative) of APEC Lesson Study Project (since 2006) and working internationally and nationally for innovation of mathematics education. He had received the following awards: Honorary Professor from PUCV, Chile (2023). Honorary Professor from USIL, Peru (2014). Honorary PhD from KKU, Thailand (2011). Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2009 in Natural Sciences from Japan Publisher Association (2010). Best Software in Education from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan (2005). He got PhD from Waseda U. on "Mathematization for Mathematics Education: an extension of the theory of Hans Freudenthal applying the representation theory of Masami Isoda with demonstration of the levels of function up to calculus." He established the teaching approach and task design theory for dialectic argument in classroom using the theory of the conceptual and procedural knowledge in mathematics.
