Stephanie Capparell

Stephanie Capparell has been an editor and writer at The Wall Street Journal for more than 20 years. "The Birkman Method: Your Personality at Work" is her third book. To write the book, she became a certified Birkman consultant. Her first book, "Shackleton's Way," about the leadership techniques of the Antarctic explorer--an early believer in the value of workplace psychology--was an international best-seller. Her second book, "The Real Pepsi Challenge," tells the story of some of the first African-American professionals in U.S. corporations. Her research archives for that book have been accepted by the Smithsonian museum for African-American culture and history in Washington. She is also a filmmaker, having made a documentary biography of the Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet.
