Yasushi Suzuki

Yasushi Suzuki (born in 1963) is Professor, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Japan. He has an undergraduate degree from Waseda University and a doctorate from the University of London. His main work is on the institutional political economy of financial development, the theory of banking and economic rent in Asia and the theoretical and empirical studies on Islamic banking & Finance. His work has appeared in Review of Political Economy, International Review of Comparative Public Policy, Asian-Pacific Economic Literature, Contemporary South Asia and Communist and Post-Communist Studies, Journal of Comparative Asian Development, International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and business management.
