I'm a youth-ministry/family-ministry veteran turned consultant when I realized that what we were doing to keep students in the church after graduation would work anywhere. In 2006 I started The UpStream Project, a ministry that works with churches which hope to reach young people and grow them into life-long disciples of Jesus Christ.

I preach, consult with churches, speak at events, train volunteers, and coach church leaders, esp. leaders who are frustrated with the number of students who leave church after graduation.

"The Orphaned Generation" is my first book. I have preached its message many times. It's simple, but it works. It gives adults a new way to look at young people. Their fear melts away and their boldness grows.

A leader guide and a second book are underway.
