Leigh Brandon

Leigh Brandon is a CHEK Practitioner, Functional Medicine Practitioner, manual therapist, author, educator, and host of The Beyond The Pain Podcast. With nearly 30 years’ experience in the health, fitness, and rehabilitation fields, Leigh helps people understand and overcome chronic pain by looking beyond symptoms and exploring the deeper physical, nutritional, lifestyle, emotional, and stress-related factors that can influence pain.

Leigh is also the author of several books on health, movement, performance, and wellbeing, including works on tennis biomechanics and adult acne, bringing together decades of clinical experience, teaching, and personal study.

His work is rooted in a whole-person approach, combining corrective exercise, hands-on therapy, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, functional health principles, nervous system regulation, and emotional release techniques. Rather than viewing pain as something to simply suppress or manage, Leigh encourages people to see pain as a message from the body — one that can often point towards deeper imbalances and opportunities for change.

Through his clinical work, teaching, podcasting, and writing, Leigh’s mission is to help people move from frustration, limitation, and dependence on quick fixes towards greater awareness, personal responsibility, and long-term freedom from pain.

His book, *Beyond The Pain: A Whole-Person Approach to Understanding Pain and Participating in Recovery*, brings together decades of clinical experience and education to help readers better understand why pain can persist, why standard approaches often fall short, and how they can begin to participate more actively in their own recovery.

When he is not working with clients, teaching, or interviewing guests for his podcast, Leigh continues to study health, movement, human behaviour, and the many factors that shape our ability to heal and thrive.
