Weijiu Liu

Liu Weijiu was born in a small village of Ningxiang, Hunan, China, in 1962. He obtained B.S. in mathematics from the Hunan Normal University in 1982, M.S. in nonlinear functional analysis from the Sichuan Normal University in 1986, and PhD in mathematics from the University of Wollongong in 1998. He taught mathematics at the Fourth High School of Ningxiang, Hunan, from 1982 to 1983, at the National University of Defense Technology from 1986 to 1988, and at the Changsha University of Science and Techonolgy from 1989 to 1994. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California San Diego from 1998 to 1999, at the Dalhousie University from 1999 to 2001, at the University of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2002, at MIT from 2002 to 2004, and at University of Western Ontario from 2004 to 2005. Since 2005, He has been an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Central Arkansas. He has published more than 40 papers in control theory of partial differential equations and mathematical biology and one advanced textbook "Elementary Feedback Stabilization of the Linear Reaction-convection-diffusion Equation and the Wave Equation". He is writting a textbook "Introduction to Modeling Biological Cellular Control Systems".
