After growing up in post war England Rock & Roll and the 'hippie' revolution came along in the nick of time. I spent a large part of my life on the road, spending a lot of time in places like Morocco, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India - eventually choosing Amsterdam as my home base in the West. My life has been interesting, peppered with variety of adventures and professions.

After having The 'Indoor Garden' series published by Positive Publishers I finally found time to finish 'Travels with Stan' - a project that had been shelved for longer than I care to admit.

I am now working on 'Air Conditioned Gypsies', a story of a life of accidental adventure starting in the late 1960's. Feeling like an alien accidentally stranded on this planet, the protagonist, drifts into a life of smuggling with a little sex drugs & rock and roll on the side. The life of an outlaw seems to suit him well enough -Rock & Roll could have been an option but he didn't play the guitar and was a bit too shy to be the singer. The story is virtually ready for a good editor now...

My other ongoing project is a crime novel set slightly in the future in a radically different Amsterdam. A particularly gory murder of an English ex-drug dealer leads an English private detective to delve into the murky past of the city's alternative ex-pat community - colourful characters in the city that has felt more like home to me than anywhere else on this planet.

There are always other ideas running around in my imagination but right now, I'd better get on with actually finishing the two I've just described!
