Mélanie De Coster was born in 1977 in Belgium. For her, the flat country was overflowing with stories, hidden behind trees, in half-open cupboards, and in the mounds of molehills. She began writing her first novel at 11, won her first writing competition at 16, and hasn't stopped since.
At 18, Mélanie De Coster left for France. Study, work, love... She hasn't left and has explored many regions of France, from Paris to Marseille, via Nice. She finally settled in the Pays de la Loire region, and she's not ready to leave. With two children, a dog, two cats, even chickens, and a husband, there would be too much to move!
In the meantime, she has written children's stories, several novels for older readers, and her latest titles are aimed primarily at teenagers and adults. In her books, she enjoys talking about openness to the world, reflecting on it a little
but, always and above all, telling a story.
