Henri Bourlès

Henri Bourlès is a Professor at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Paris, France) where he holds the Chair of Automatic Control. He is also a researcher at SATIE (ENS-Cachan / CNRS). He was one of the pioneers of robustness theory in France. His current research includes Algebraic Analysis applied to Linear Control Systems. He is the author of more than 50 papers in technical journals.

He received his Engineering Degree from Ecole Centrale de Paris, his Ph.D. from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, and his "Habilitation" from Université Paris XI.

He has been a Senior Research Scientist at Electricité de France (EDF) and an Associate Professor at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (ENS-Cachan). He has been teaching automation for over 25 years in engineering and graduate schools.

He is a Senior Member of IEEE and is included in the "Who's Who in the World" and in the "Who's Who in Science and Engineering".
