Allison Sarnoff

Allison Sarnoff's first five books are collections of Knit Princess, the world's first web comic for knitters. The collections each include more than 100 comics, as well as five knitting patterns. Exclusive Knit Princess comics can also be found in three issues of Twist Collective and in the summer 2011 issue of Knitting Today.

Allison and Heatherly Walker co-wrote a new book of knitting patterns inspired by fictional chemical elements. That book, Unobtainables: Fake Elements, Real Knits, was released in August 2017.

Allison lives and works in New York's Capital District. She holds a Master's in Early Modern European History, which explains why she works as an office assistant. Allison has been obsessively knitting for more than 15 years and also has also taught knitting at a local community college.

Knit Princess is based on her life a little more closely than Allison likes to admit. She has a lot of yarn.
