Kerry O'neill

I'm Kerry, an author and outdoorsy type from Bristol, England. I run independent publishing company, Printslinger. I am behind books including The Extra Mile: Delicious Alternatives to Motorway Services (2023); The Coastal Café Guide (2024); and The Sauna Guide to South West England (2026). I've also had adventure features published in Sidetracked, Intrepid, Boneshaker, and Trek and Mountain.

I love nothing more than a lightweight tent and loaded bike, or a campervan (complete with a guitar and a Rab sleeping bag) to help me can get out and enjoy life. I also have a tin whistle up my sleeve, for impromptu trad sessions. In efforts to evade the desk more, I'm now a Hill and Moorland Leader with the Mountain Training Association, and a Ride Leader through British Cycling, to open up - or indeed to create! - more doors on that front.

Alongside my freelancing, I've worked for Secret Compass expeditions and TV, and for the cycling charity formerly known as Sustrans. I'm open to writing and adventure invites, and to publishing or white-labelling books for others (if the vibes align...).
